From his first internship at Sports 1140 KHTK in Sacramento, CA to working his way through various markets and coming full circle to reconnect with the first broadcasting opportunity he was ever introduced to; he now serves as the Senior Executive Producer and 3rd voice on the Drive Guy's Show.
While many know Jay R as a co-host on the Grammy nominated artist Yukmouth's award winning podcast Smoke-A-Lot Radio, it's his stellar work ethic that has led to numerous opportunities, earning him an ever-growing fan base and recognition. across various media platforms.
The recipient of a Division one baseball scholarship to Texas Southern University, one of the country's premiere Historically Black Universities. Jay R Jay graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. Jay's hustle, business acumen and his love of sports and music have helped him acquire professional positions such as a Journalist for Sporting News Magazine and The {C} Magazine. His laudatory experience includes acting as the Executive Producer of the nationally syndicated radio shows such as Fox Sports Football Sunday Show, The Bobby Bones Show - A Bunch of Friends and The Fellas with Anthony Gargano and Lincoln Kennedy. Additionally he has served as an assistant producer on numerous shows such as The Gary Bryant Morning Show and The 2 Live Stews,
When Jay isn't tending to his daily duties, you can often find him creating opportunities for others on podcasts such as producing on The Jackie Christie Experience, or stirring up a buzz as a reporter for DJ Hustle's Time Warner show; Hustle TV. He has also graced the stage as a live concert host, and boosted brands such as Urban Life/Rap Bay Distribution as an ambassador. With skills highly in demand Jay has also assisted artists such as T Nutty in a managerial capacity and been a pivotal part of the worldwide phenomenon, The Regime!
